But. Fantasy books: Raymond Feist's "Riftwar" series through the "Serpentwar" books, minus the RPG-to-book conversions whose titles start with "Krondor". (And then stop. He loses his way after that point.) Techno-ish music: VAST's self-titled first album. And if you end up liking that, pick up "Nude", and possible "Music For People" if you find yourself turning into a fan, but otherwise stick with those two. Mind you, I don't know what your existing collections look like, so... *shrug* I have such a limited library, not to mention one of such idiosyncrasy, that I hesitate to make recommendations. But.
