Okay, so maybe this image is a bit dramatic for you. But it does explain how I see myself as a writer. I'm always dreaming of words or stories. My head is constantly filled with new voices yearning to get out. This site contains all the stories, essays and poemtry of jaymi elford.
I wrote my first thing at an early age; before I knew of school and learnings and books. Before grammar or rational thoughts. My first story scribbled in the pages of my parents' books. Since that fateful day, and countless books added to my library, I've been writing since. You can find my thoughts and stories in the books of White Wolf Game Studio, online in zines, and of course here. I love books as much as I love writing so I started publishing my own zines. twisted REALITIES was my college literary zine, while mirror imyaj became my personal journal. In 2003, I decided to work majick into my writing and started Grok, a pagan zine. in 2006 I created two podSites (books for ani iPod), and this year I hope to find time at a podcast or two.
Before 2002, most of my writings came in under 2,500 words. Then I discovered a little online competition called NaNoWriMo. 50,000 words in 30 days or bust. I signed on, knowing that this would be the first time I'd ever have to write a novel. Twenty-six days later, I was done. I had a first draft of a 67 page novel. Yay me! Since then, I've finished many other drafts, one each November. One day, I hope to edit them for publication.
