2009 Wrap-up

2009 has come and gone and I wanted to do a nice wrap up post on all that I accomplished. While I didn’t post goals I had for the year publicly, I did have a few of them. Click on the link below to read what I was able to track through the year.

  • Publish 2 printed items: Done. Actually, I sold 3 pieces last year but only two came into print during the calendar year. Story in Ravens in the Library anthology and a personal essay on my magical life in Women’s Voices in Magic anthology.
  • Promote publications: Done. I was able to attend a few book parties/signings for Ravens, and also appeared at Norwescon for Ravens as well. All three events taught me a lot about putting marketing and a public face to my writing. Something I hope to continue doing in 2010.
  • Tarot Homework Modules Completed: 3 (received first degree candidate certificate)
  • Words Written: about 75,000 words.
  • Books Read: 61

While the numbers look good, I can’t help but think that it’s “not enough”. Here’s to all the things I can accomplish in 2010.
