i was adopted. i was born into identity. i have no idea where i came from historically or ethnically. Therefore, i am a culture of myself. All the activities and chapters in my life created who i am today. i am free to select those i deem worthy of being in my family. i do not have to abide by longstanding rules or regulations. i do not have to follow in the footsteps of some long dead relative. i am a culture of myself. What i do, the things i believe in, and the rituals i make... build my identity. i am connected to nothing at all, and deeply connected to everything around me. i came from the earth. i am a true child of nature and spirituality. This is my gift.

Perusing the Shelves

Books, Geekery, Ravens in the Library

I was poking around on a website called Shelfari and found that they took pictures of Neil Gaiman’s library. Other author’s writing spaces and libraries fascinate me, so of course I gotta check out those images through to see what…

Kender Made an Album

Art, Miscellany

For the longest time kender’s been making music. He was inspired by a video segment that Ronin Harris (of VNV Nation fame) made that discussed how he wrote and made his own music. Today, I’m proud to announce that he’s…

Beltane 2009

Witchy Thoughts

Beltane was spectacular this year. Overall it had a mellow energy, tinged with spurts of silly. Which was perfect for me and Kender. Our spot overlooked the Santiam River, the maypole dance (in the pouring rain) was hecka fun and…

Like I alluded to on my twitter/facebook accounts, this second trip to Seattle was nothing short of magickal. There is so much going through my head I had to take most of the weekend to sift through it all, and…
